Operating hours are from 8:30am to 6:00pm, Mondays to Fridays

Travel: Not very wheelchair friendly. There are paved paths from the nearest MRT station and bus stop but it might be necessary to travel on the road at times, especially if construction works obstructs the pavement.

Nearest MRT: Tiong Bahru Station (EW17)
From the MRT station, head east on Tiong Bahru Rd toward Jalan Membina (if you come out from the exit with the lift, you should be opposite Tiong Bahru Plaza. Travel in the direction against the traffic.) Travel down Jalan Membina and turn right onto Kim Tian Rd. Cross the zebra crossing to continue on Kim Tian Road. Turn right onto Yong Siak St (you should see a shop selling Hainanese food). Travel all the way down until you cannot travel straight anymore. You should be facing a wall with fencing above. This is the side of SPD. Follow the wall and turn right for the main entrance.

Nearest Bus: 121 (Bus stop 10121, Blk 126 Carpark or bus stop 10129, Kim Tian Rd).
Travel towards the zebra crossing and turn in to continue travelling down Kim Tian Rd. Turn right onto Yong Siak St (you should see a shop selling Hainanese food). Entrance: Has a slight slope but should be accessible to most wheelchair users. Doors are automatic sliding doors.

Surface: Generally even or with minimal slope. However, there are tactile markings along the sides of the walkways for people with visual impairments.

Walkways: Generally wide enough for wheelchair access throughout the building.

Lift: Wide enough for about 2 motorized wheelchairs. If there is only one wheelchair in the lift, there is space for turning. Control buttons are found at the front and at the side of the lift. There are grabbars around 3 sides of the lift. There is also a mirror at the back of the lift to facilitate wheelchair reversal.

Doors: Most doors in the building are either automatic or manual sliding doors. The manual sliding doors are not very heavy.

Toilets: Found on all levels, the toilets have automatic sliding doors at the entrance, but doors for individual stalls are manual sliding. There are different toilet stalls, with some that are wider and allow for more turning radius inside the stall. Most stalls have grab bars installed along the walls. Toilet paper dispenser is located suitably close by. Most flushes are automatic. Some stalls have low sinks with automatic taps installed. Mirrors in the stall and in the main area of the toilet are tilted downwards for better access.

Others: There is an emergency exit ramp connecting all floors at the back of the building.
