The olden day theatres were known to be not very wheelchair friendly, but many of the newer ones come with good accessibility options.
1. Cathay Cinemas @Cineleisure Orchard: This is one of the best theatres in Singapore with excellent sound systems. It is located in Cineleisure Orchard located quite near the Somerset MRT. Most of the cinema halls here are accessible with separate routes and have dedicated seats for wheelchairs. In some cinemas the seats are at the front, but in some others it may be at the back. In the latter case, you are just on the topmost floor on the left or right side of the hall, with no seats nearby. If you are at the front, the seats are somewhere in the 3rd or 4th row and so it is kind of close to the screen.

2. Cathay @JEM: This is a newer Cathay theatre in Jurong East Mall (JEM), easily accessible from Jurong east MRT. All the cinemas here are similar with wheelchair ‘seats’ at the back. You can choose to be at the left or right side of the hall. No seats in the middle. You should approach the staff who will direct you through the accessible route.
Accessible lifts and toilets are available. Crowd level is manageable. Staff helpful.
3. JCube IMAX: This is one of the best IMAX theatres in Singapore with great sound systems. It is located in L3, JCube which is a mall near Jurong east MRT station.
The entrance to the hall is on the same level just next to the ticket counters, so it is quite convenient. There are two wheelchair seats and they are located just as you enter the hall. This is a row in the middle of the theatre so the view is not bad. (In contrast, the Lido IMAX screens have wheelchair seats in the front row. Not very pleasing for the eyes.) But there is not much legroom space.

4. GV Vivocity: This is located in Level 2 Vivocity, and easily accessible from Harbour front MRT. Some cinemas have wheelchair ‘seats’ at the back. You should approach the staff who will direct you through the accessible route.

5. GV Jurong Point: This is located in Jurong Point, and is easily accessible from Boon Lay MRT. Most cinemas have wheelchair seats at the front, roughly two or three rows from the screen. So you will be watching movies quite close to the screen.
