stayed at The Holiday Inn Express Clarke Quay

While in Singapore, I stayed at The Holiday Inn Express Clarke Quay. They have 6 wheelchair accessible rooms. It was a great room, with a decent amount of circulation space at the foot of and one side of the bed, and both inside and outside the bathroom. There was about 15cm space under the bed for a hoist if needed. The bathroom had a shower bench, hand held (and monsoon) shower, space under sink to pull in with a wheelchair, and the toilet had a fixed handrail against the wall and a fold down rail on the open side. The soap dispenser was within reach (barely). I was really impressed that there was a lower door lock, and the hanging space, iron and ironing board were also all within reach. There's also a wheelchair evacuation point just outside the accessible rooms on each floor. There's also a very cool rooftop pool with ramps to the pool edge, but unfortunately there's only ladders to exit the pool itself (no stairs, ramp or hoist). Breakfast was included with our room and the wait staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel was about 10min stroll from either Fort Canning MRT station on the Downtown Line or Clarke Quay MRT station on the Northeast Line. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express Clarke Quay and would definitely stay there again.
